I would appreciate it if you would share your experience with me. I have had type 1 diabetes for 21 years. I started out with injections but went on a pump 9 years ago. Financially I can no longer afford pump supplies. I’m fine with going back to injections, just curious to hear from others with related experiences. Thanks.

hi I did put a question about diabetes and the fact that i had thrown aw ay my diaformin after taking an indian herb. well lots of people asked me about it. the herb is called in tamil language sirukurinjan in english it may be known as acacia. anyway the company who supplied this herb is in madras india their phone number is 0011914428496691. the herb as i said is called sirukurinjan and costs about 6 bucks for 100 capsules. I am going to continue using it because it lowers my sugar levels and doesnt cause the bad side effects I was getting with diaformin. I do look after my health. I walk every day for 20 mins , I avoid sweets completely although there is a sweet available from america which has no sugar in it. I grill my fish and chicken. I do not use any oil at all in food preparation , if I have to fry an egg ill do it with water. in the evening I eat staemed vegetables mainly. I eat toast italian style bread with no butter. vit a brits is my morning breakfast

the day i learned i had type 1 diabetes, my health care coverage ran out. i was on my father’s plan, but it only covers you up to age 25. so when i turned 25, i was diagnosed w/ type 1 diabetes (happy birthday to me!). since then i’ve been uninsured, and recently hospitalized w/ dka. anyhow, i’m taking much better care of myself now, and that means buying/using different types of meds and testing supplies, plus visiting the doc on a regular basis. all this is costly. i need health insurance! i tried applying for kaiser, but they won’t qualify me. i appiled for blue cross (ca), but i fear given my medical condition/history, they won’t qualify me either. heck, i even applied for disability (ssi), but they, too, say i don’t qualify! (2 boughts w/ dka this year alone, and boy am i feeling crappy!) yet they tell me what i’m experiencing isn’t restricting pain, but mild discomfort. yeah, right! at any rate, does anyone know a good health care provider who’ll insure me for under $100 a month?
