Did a quick search and these pumps cost between $5,000 and $8,000. They have a 4-year guarantee, and if you have health insurance in the US it will generally cover much of this cost. Supplies are also expensive, about $140 for a months work of reservoirs and infusion sets.
tell could some one tell me the difference between this and the ping’s actual”pump” part from where you deliver bolus’ and stuff. is there any differences?
i have the animas ping, and from what i can tell, the two pumps are exactly the same in their functions. except for the fact that the ping speaks to its meter! both are pretty awesome pumps, but i found that i like the ping better. the meter-remote function is just so dang convenient for a 15 year old girl!
One has a color screen while one is LCD black on white. But there are many other differences internally. Search for CWD and Insulin Pump and you’ll find a site with information you can use to compare both models. It seems that the latest Animas model is the OneTouch ping. I don’t know how it compares to the Animas 2020.
i just got mine yesterday
i love it. i live in canada so i didnt have to pay a cent
