I’m 24 yrs old and not overweight. Recently after drink sweet soft drinks or eating very sweet foods I have been feeling dizzy and nauseous. I have always felt nauseous after eating sweet foods ever since I was young so I dont really like eating them. But I dont normally have dizziness. Could I have diabetes?

Hyperglycemia is high blood sugar, as is diabetes. Feelings of nausea and dizziness are a sign of hyPOglycemia, which is low blood sugar. When you have reactive hypoglycemia, your body produces too much insulin after eating foods high in carbs. The result is low blood sugar.
Ask for a glucose tolerance test if you would like to find out if you have either.

That’s one of the signs of diabetes. I had it too. Please don’t ignore it.
Read up on the symptoms and make a list of the ones you have. See the links below for symptoms of both type 1 and type 2.
Take your list of symptoms to your doctor and get a glucose tolerance test, and an HbA1c done as soon as possible.
These tests will tell your doctor what’s going on, so he can rule out or diagnose diabetes.
IF you do have diabetes get it under tight control to avoid complications.
You may have reactive hypoglycemia rather than diabetes.
If you do, please get your HbA1c checked every year, because this can lead to diabetes later on.
This is what happened to both myself and my mother and we didn’t find out for years because our doctors thought we were still hypoglycemic, when if fact we had both become diabetics. The earlier you can diagnose and treat diabetes, the less damage it can do to your body.

When the hyper glycemic thresh hold crosses beyond 150 mg/100 ml in the blood sample taken after 2 hours after lunch it may be diabetes. You may please checkup your fasting and post prandrial blood sugar levels on your Doctors advice to eliminate a Diabetes.
