Thanks for posting this video. I start insulin today, doing it myself for the first time ever. The Dr. said I won’t be insulin dependent but he wants me to use this bottle till it’s gone then no more. I hope matters don’t change and I don’t have to keep using it, it scares me lol. Thanks for the help!
can you ellaborate. you pay for this totally yourself? it’s cheaper than the pen? i just started the pen injections last night, but i have insurance.
At the time, I was paying for it I think. LOL been SO long ago since I made this video. I still pay for it outta pocket (only $23 @ wal-mart) so it can stay off a slot that I may need. I don’t know anything about the pen.
depending on where you live, you can obtain free syringes from a local needle exchange, the one an hour from where i live supplies my friend with diabetes with the 100 unit BD kind and also TEURMO 100 Unit kind as well, both in 27 and 28 gauge i think….. the BD comes in packs of ten and the other comes in single packs, they will even give you free Sharps Containers as well and dispose of your old ones……. look into it!, usually you can find the programs listed under “HARM REDUCTION” –etc.
Good job…I needed to know how to give my self an injection and you did a good job…you even look like my sister. She works for the red cross and gives injections for a living…smile
Awesome vid! What type are you?
