I’ve had diabetes for 15 years and just started getting some neuropathy but mine seems to come and go in my left hand and my feet.
I had lost 45lbs on a modified Atkins diet. Mostly limited rice, bread, and pasta. I walked but not aggressively mainly to feel good. But work stress got to me and tiredness so I didn’t walk as much and gained the weight back Also was disinterested in caring about limiting the carbs.
I guess it is just a life long thing that we go up and down with. All I can say is your not alone. Being human means ever struggling and I am just reminding myself to jump back on the horse and take care of myself.

my father has neuropathy and has to use a walker most of the time. His doctor has prescribed medication for the pain, also cymbalta is a very good medicine for diabetic neuropathy.
