Nice video. How do find reading the meter. At a demo I needed to have the backlight on all the time. The contrast didn’t do much for me. Also I know you can create a favorites database of foods. It seems like it would take a while to go thru that list to enter everything you may be eating. I’d appreciate your thoughts. Thanks

It does take time to enter what you are eating in the database but it is really worth it if there are certain foods you eat all the time. It comes loaded with a decent database, I only deleted about 150 foods out of it & then started adding stuff I eat in.

November 11, 2009 12:55 am | #4The teacher at the pump class that I went to said that the ping is better then the omipod because if you loose the meter/controller, you still can bolus from the pump.
November 11, 2009 1:43 am | #5That is a down side to the Omnipod but I believe they are working to change that so you can bolus from the pod if you lose your meter PDM. So if you are prone to losing meters, then one of the tubed pumps would be better. At least there will be a new tubeless pump within a year, it’s called the solo and you can bolus from the pod part.
