My insulin Log

My father (in his 60’s) is diabetic and has a weight issue (about 300lbs). He cannot exercise (disabled). Does anyone know where to find a meal plan/menu for diabetics?

He becomes frustrated easily with this and we’re looking for a “black and white” meal plan for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks per week . Any help is appreciated

I would rather do natural but I don`t know what to trust. I just know God has something to help us with of his own sorce.

Has it increased in 0-5 years olds?
thanks for the great answers. It is hard to get the numbers on the increase or whether the increase is in families with no prior history. I wish this would be tracked better so that the cause might be determined.

My son’s lab work indicates that he is NOT diabetic at this time but doctor says that his c-peptide count is higher than normal. My son is already on a diet and exercise program to lose weight but I don’t know if taking the metformin is really necessary. Does anyone have any advice?

My mom has diabetes and i want to help her control her type 2 diabetes. i have read in some articles that cinnamon can lower blood sugars? Is there anyone who currently uses cinnamon for treatment of their diabetes? As much as possible i would like a personal experience on the effectiveness of cinnamon and what form of cinnamon (powder, capsules, etc) and how much should be taken. I hope you can help me. She is a 10 year old collie mix. She has been diagnosed with diabetes. The vet has prescribed Humulin now up to 13 units twice a day and a slice of cheese. We had switched her from Dog Chow to Pro Plan senior which made it worse. She is at 349 mg currently, losing weight and not eating well. We are trying to figure out what food to try and what to do next. Please help.

my son just found out 9 days ago that he has type 1 diabetes, he is 9 and I really don’t have ant help. Could use someone who knows about this.

The doctors don’t even know if it’s type 1 or 2. Apparently I’m a mystery. I have since then had another child and the diabetes is stronger. I guess I just want to know if there is anyone out there who may have heard of this and their related story. I’m a new mom and the last thing I wanted was diabetes. I’m not even overweight. 130 lbs. Any response would be appreciated.

I have a 3 yr old with type1 diabetes and she is going to get an insulin pump in may. I’m really nervous about how she will react. and about if it is really easier. I just don’t want to put her through more stress ( and my self too ) if it isn’t going to work as good. ( she has had a couple of problems with insulins, we had to switch a couple of times.

I was on a metformin, but I hate taking it becuase it gives me severe leg cramps? Would you recomend me asking my doctor about this medication? Any good luck managing your type two diabetes better?
