I have gestational diabetes but only have high morning blood sugar.?
I am 28 weeks pregnant and have gestational diabetes. I have been following my meal plan, but I still have high blood sugar in the a.m. The rest of my numbers a great, but no matter what I do I can not lower my morning numbers. Last night before bed my reading was 91 but I woke up with it at 107. Does anyone have any tips or tricks that work for them on lowering that morning reading? Maybe a certain snack or something? Thanks for any help or ideas.
How long do blood sugars stay elevated after a steroid injection?
On Jun 21, had a steroid injection in left side for sacroiliac joint, after a couple of days felt lighted, just feeling bad. My mom being a nurse-had me chk. blood pressure & blood sugar. Bllod pressure elevated some. But blood sugars stayed in the 300’s of higher, even one time over 500. Just need to know for how long(many days or weeks) does it take for sugars to go back down to normal.

Is there a painless way to test blood in diabetes?
My nephew who’s only 9 months old developed Type 1 diabetes. My cousin checks his blood with glucometer using test strips, but because of the pain it causes the kid became very nervous and starts crying everytime his mom approaches him. I was wondering if anybody knows about alternative ways to test blood, that are not as painful and that are suitable for a kid his age. Thank you.
Can drinking a soda before giving blood for a blood test show elevated blood sugar readings?
The other day, I went to the doctor’s office and they took blood to run some tests. I guess they called and I have to see another doctor on Friday because I could have diabetes. This is off of the blood they took and tested the day before. But, before giving blood, I had a bottle of Mt. Dew. Could that have messed up the test so I’d have a higher blood sugar reading?
I figured as much. My family is freaking out about it so I wanted to make sure. And I didn’t really plan on them taking blood or I wouln’t have gone and gotten the drink right before I went in.
How many times a day do you test your blood sugar?
Type one diabetic and it seems I test mine incessantly. At least 15 times a day or about once every hour I am awake. Thankfully my testing supplies are paid for, otherwise I wouldn’t have the luxury of being able to test so often as strips are stupidly expensive. Others out there think this is too much? Am I over doing it, or do you think this is a good thing to do?

How does diabetes damage the blood vessels in the brain? Other than keeping the diabetes under control, what?
can limit further damage?
Is it possible to reverse the damage?
My husband has type II diabetes and has had excellent A1Cs (less than 6 for the past 4 years), but we have no idea how long he had diabetes before it was diagnosed. We don’t know if the damage is recent or from before his diagnosis.
The MRI showed damage to the small blood vessels in the brain and they want to do an MRA as well. I just wonder what the ramifications are and if there’s anything proactive to be done about it.
I was diagnosed with diabetes(type2) 6 yrs ago. My dr ran blood work and my serum creatinine was 29 mg/dl.?
I am a 35 yr old woman, 200 lbs, white. How bad is this? Should I begin looking at dialysis? Transplant? I have 8 children and I am scared to death.
does it really matter what type of cinnamon you take to help lower blood sugar in type II diabetes?
I buy organic cinnamon powder and capsule it, taking two capsules in the morning and two in the evening, the large capsules.
I have gestational diabetes. What should my blood glucose be THREE hours after a meal?
I’ve been doing so well with this gestational diabetes diet that I’ve grown a little bored testing. But today (I’m 36 weeks and two days pregnant), I had a small lunch OUT at a restaurant, where I didn’t really know exactly how many carbs I consumed. Probably too many carbs and not enough protein. My one-hour-post-lunch test is supposed to be less than 140, per my doctor, but it came back high: 159. Opps. So I had a bad lunch after all. But after two hours, I tested again, and it was 175! 120, I am told, is what the max should be after two hours. What should my level be after three hours? Everything I find online gives the levels for the three-hour glucose screening test. This is just a regular after-meal test, three hours later instead of one or two.
I failed my glucose screening test primarily because my sugar after two hours went higher when it should have gone lower. But I don’t want to have my afternoon snack before my blood sugar comes back to a level where it should.
