What if my gestational diabetes is just under control?
Hi i am currently 28 weeks pregnant and i got gestational diabetes and now i have to follow a proper diet and regular exercise and after all this my sugar level is controlled but sometimes its just under the required level, i mean sometimes it comes 6.9 or 7.0mmol/l after meal and 5.4 (fasting). So i was just wondering if its still not good for me and baby or there is nothing to worry on that?

How does diabetes damage the blood vessels in the brain? Other than keeping the diabetes under control, what?
can limit further damage?
Is it possible to reverse the damage?
My husband has type II diabetes and has had excellent A1Cs (less than 6 for the past 4 years), but we have no idea how long he had diabetes before it was diagnosed. We don’t know if the damage is recent or from before his diagnosis.
The MRI showed damage to the small blood vessels in the brain and they want to do an MRA as well. I just wonder what the ramifications are and if there’s anything proactive to be done about it.
I have type II diabetes and on two medications for control. What are the safe sugar substitutes healthwise?
If Splenda is a sugar product, why is it “suitable for diabetics?”. It seems that most packaged foods like breads, soups etc. have sugar in one or the other forms. Some are easy for me to interprete when it says, ‘molases’, ’syrup’ etc. But others are very difficult to make any sense. Please provide the vocabulary of SAFE/UNSAFE contents for a diabetic.
Thanks.
How can i control my diabetes better?

Is it possible to have excellent A1Cs and for type II diabetes to still be out of control?
My husband’s A1Cs have been <6 since the first quarter after his diagnosis (it was 12 when we caught it), but recently a specialist suggested he may need insulin (he currently takes Glucophage).
If his A1Cs are good, why would he need insulin? If he does, what would indicate the need for insulin?

Do you always have to take insulin to control gestational diabetes, or can you be prescribed a pill instead?
I have gestational diabetes that can no longer be controlled through diet. I can not stand needles and am wondering if there is any chance of being prescribed a pill as opposed to insulin shots?
Yes, there are pills on the market used to control blood sugar instead of insulin, I am wondering if anyone was prescribed pills instead of insulin shots.
How can I best market my coaching program for weight loss and type II Diabetes control?
My husband has been a type II diabetic for over 25 years. Until 4 years ago, he was in bad shape. He couldn’t walk more than 30 feet because of the neuropathy in both of his feet. He was on 43 units of insulin a night, his weight ballooned to 273 pounds (he is 5′ 11″), he was irritable, he was always tired – even fell asleep at the wheel while driving. I did a lot of research and developed a successful program to help him. 4 years ago, he lost 75 pounds, has not been on insulin for over 3 years, has walked in 2-5K races, walks 2 miles at the gym 4 times a week and works out with weights. His doctor is simply amazed. He is now on only half of his oral meds. I have coached other people and their results are outstanding. They’re doctors are thrilled. I am not a physician nor a nutritionist but I know what works. We work with the doctors to help people who could never lose weight before and who’s blood sugars are out of control. I want to market this program – where do I start?
Thank you for your answers. One person asked me a couple of questions and I can’t find out how to answer those questions. I hope they get the answer thru this.
I am hoping to market and sell my program to individuals, at seminars, by showing corporations how they can lower their health insurance costs by using my program to enable their employees to be more healthy.
