I saw on the news ,that some people with diabetes were cured by having an intestinal bypass. Is it possable that this will lead to a cure for diabetes in the near future?

My husband is 28 and is type 1 diabetic. He was diagnosed when he was around 18. His pancreas does not produce insulin. I wondered if a transplant were possible. I want him to live a long time. I love him soooo much.

I have read on some information on Budwig diet and it indicated that it can sure Type 2 Diabates if strictly followed. Anyone with diabetes has tried this ?
I am just diagonised with diabetes and my first blood test showed fasting sugar of 132 but when I checked with glucometer in a week after the above test it showed 125. I year ago my blood sugar was 98. I am now looking aggressively if I can get my blood sugar below 110.
Also, while I read about Budwig diet I thought it is worth giving it a try. So also want to check if anyone has experience with it. Remember, as some people pointed out that for Budwig diet to be successful, you not only have to take this special diet for few weeks or months depending on how high your sugar levels are, but also have to avoid all non-organic food and other oils, eggs, etc that have lots of saturated fats.
Anyone who has tried it, please chime in with your experience.

My sister told me she has diabetes but her doctor told her to just exercise more and it should cure it. This doesn’t sound right to me. Is there a cure for diabetes?

I remember 30 years ago they were predicting a cure within the next 10 years….then Aids came along and diabetes was put on the back burner. Does diabetes affect anyone you know?

I recently found out i have diabetes, but the results did not come in yet to tell which type i am. Right now the doctor makes me get on insulin, which i have been doing for 4 days already, and my blood sugar is reallly good, about 80. I heard the doctors in canada injected some kind of substance in mice who had diabetes and the next day the diabetes were gone. Will this ever be avialable for humans? Also are there any natural medicines that help lower blood sugar instead of insulin, and start to make the pancreas work again?

I have type 2 diabetes and I have eliminated all sugar, flour and salt products. I am now a transitioning to become a raw foodist. I currently drink a gallon of water per day…is it safe? I am not over weight, I am 5′10″ and weigh 198 pounds.
