The reason I ask is because my father, fathers father, mothers father all had diabetes before they died. I believe this puts me at 75% or so statistically of getting it. I’m 20 years old and I think I might have it but I’m to young and have only a few of the symptoms which I think could be from other things (thirst, excessive fatigue)

So whens its happen? And how do you go about slowing/preventing it in older age.

I’m 24 yrs old and not overweight. Recently after drink sweet soft drinks or eating very sweet foods I have been feeling dizzy and nauseous. I have always felt nauseous after eating sweet foods ever since I was young so I dont really like eating them. But I dont normally have dizziness. Could I have diabetes?

I was resarching about T2D and it said that early symptoms are being thirsty all the time wich means drinking lots of water and drinking lots of water leads to always urinating. I always have to have water. I urinate more than twelve times a day. Without sugar I feel weak and tired. I want to go to the doctors and test for it but my mom says its nothing and everything is normal.

I’ve been curious about this for a while now, since a few friends of mine (all with a hereditary predisposition to the the disease) had recently been diagnosed with diabetes 2. All in their early 20’s. I’ve always heard that the chance for contracting the disease is significantly higher if your family has it, but what are the chances for someone who DOESN’T have a predisposition to it, of getting it at that same age?

i was talking to this guy in the store and i seen a device on him that look like a pager i ask what was it and he said a meter for his diabetes i was wondering if any one no what this would be call ???

Would the chances of developing diabetes be higher for people who consume alcohol than those who do not?

I have never been to sure because some say it’s a myth while others say it’s true. And I want proof because there is no way I’m believing you if you don’t supply me with proof. A website, a video, any link that will prove to me that diabetes can or cannot cause diabetes. Please tell the truth because i eat A LOT of sugar. I want to know how that can hurt me. Thanks.

I am a 31 yrd old recently diagnosed w/type 2 diabetes. I have been experiencing lately tender breast,back to back yeast infections, cant sleep right ,mood swings, tenderness and swelling in the vagina, and I hate water but the past few weeks I crave it. and it has to come from a certain water store by my house I am up to 2 gallons a day in drinking and I have lost 16 lbs in the last couple weeks without tryin. Took a HPT came back negative!! Dr. set an appointment for the end of the month!! Can someone with experience as a mother and mature woman please help.
