The cause of Type II diabetes is insulin resistant. Why doctor priscribe medicine that release more insulin to bring the glucose level down and to make the patient more resistant to insulin?

Is this pre-diabetes or hyperglycemia?
In October, the doctor said that I have pre-diabetes. Quite frankly, that’s about all she said. I’m 13. I know that pre-diabetes is associated with type 2. But, I also read that people with type 2 have to take insulin. The doctor has told me that I have too much insulin or something along those lines. Therefore, I don’t take insulin, nor do I have a meter. I’m on 500mg of Metformin to help me with that. I had a lot of difficulty losing weight, but then I lost about fifteen pounds. I was feeling great for a long time, but now I just feel terrible. I get this weird tingling in my hands and feet, and I go through these things where I’ll be really jittery and my pulse will be racing, and then through things where I can barely stand up and sometimes I’ll faint. What’s the deal here?
I have also been drinking liquids like you would not believe. I just can’t stop, and my thirst is never fully quenched. When I was first diagnosed, the medicine made me stop eating for long periods of time, sometimes up to two days, to the point where I would have to force myself to eat. Now, I’ve been eating a lot more, and peeing quite a bit more, too.
why is hyperglycemia a symptom of diabetes mellitus?

Could this be diabetes, hypo or hyperglycemia?
My husband is 22 and healthy. Over the past few weeks, after he eats he gets weak, shaky, tingly, and tired for a little bit and then it goes away. No one in his family has diabetes, hypo or hyperglycemia that we know of and he doesn’t eat alot of sweets or anything. He only weighs about 130 lbs and he is 5′ 3. Well I went out last night and bought a blood glucose monitoring system and tested his blood sugar after he drank a big coke, ate pizza, and had desert (20 min after he ate) and his blood sugar was 85. Is this normal? Shouldn’t it have been higher? What could be going on with him? He doesn’t have any symptoms at all except for right after he eats. Has anyone here ever had this happen before and what did it turn out to be? Thanks!

Hyperglycemia vs. Diabetes?
I have been incredibly tired for the past 6 years or so and was diagnosed with chronic Epstein Barr Virus, but was told there wasn’t much I could do about it. Now I am wondering if my fatigue could be related to being hyperglycemic or even diabetic. What is the difference between hyperglycemia and diabetes, and is there one test for the both or are they tested separately? I realize a trip to my doctor is in order, I just wanted some background info from people who knew from experience. Thanks!

What causes hyperglycemia in Type 2 Diabetes?
I’m confused if it’s
a. insulin deficiency
b. HYPERinsulinemia and insulin resistance.
I think it’s HYPOinsulinemia and insulin resistance, but that’s not an option. Can someone explain please
but why would you take more insulin if you already have too much in your blood and the problem is that you’re resistant to it. I’m just trying to understand, not doubting you.
