No Blood/No Pinch Diabetic Glucose Testing? – Diabetes Information?

hey guys,
i am wondering if i can get some help, im looking to find a testing kit, for diabetics to monitor there glucose levels … something with no blood required cause my grandmother needs to be testing her blood and she’s not because she is stubborn and doesn’t wanna have to pinch herself with the old fashion test kit… i heard i think it was in a tv commercial , a kit where you do not need to pinch yourself…. please any help @ all would be greatly appreciated… my grandma has been diabetic for a year+ and she hasn’t been following no diet or monitoring her blood glucose … and lately she hasn’t been doing so good… she’s all I got and I’m really worried , thank you

- p.s. – does anyone know any good informative diabetic site, where i can find like recipes and food products good for diabetics… I wanna take head charge of her health !

Can you help me find statistical information on Cancer? Diabetes?

I am Diabetic, My mother is Diabetic.
My Aunts and Grandmother all had breast cancer, and I have had suspicious breast lumps removed.

I am attempting to “wake” my sisters up – and tell them they need regular mammograms and blood sugar tests, but they refuse to go to doctors no matter what.

Do you know where I can find statistics that tell you the likelihood of your chance at having breast cancer when your sibling has – or likelihood of Diabetes if your parent and/or sibling has it, etc?

I try to google such things and end up with massive articles that I cannot wade through far enough to find the cut and dry info I am looking for.

By the way – this is Breast Cancer Awareness Month – please, if you are 40+ – see your doctor. Men develop this condition as well, so please check your health.

Can you give me some diabetes information?

Mainly what I’m want to know is if there is a way to, is there an easy way to estimate blood glucose increase by amount of carbs. and sugars per serving?

For example when her (my niece) sugar is a little low she gets a set amount of juice. Then a bit later we check it then go from there.

Could i get the amount of carbs & sugars from that juice box, half them and then use that to estimate how many pieces of gummis she can have?

I’ll look into the noninvasive tester.

She will be happy to hear that she loves the chocolate. We plan on getting her a pump as soon as the doc. says she is ready for one.

I need more information on Gestational Diabetes?

I did the Glucose test and the results came back as elevated. They are having me do the 3 hour test now. Just wondering what to expect. Also what are some signs/symptoms of gestational diabetes? Does excessive weight gain / water retention have anything to do with it.
Well I saw the Dr today and just over the last 3 weeks I have put on 14 lbs. And I already went and saw a nutritionist prior to this testing because I put on 22 lbs in 2 months. They keep saying that it is normal and not to worry. But I firmly believe that there is something I am doing or a problem, like gestational diabetes, that is causing this excessive weight gain.
Also, I told the Dr that whenever I eat, within 1/2 hour to an hour after I start to get a little bit of a headache, a slight nauseous feeling, full feeling as well, I see flashy spots and feel extremely fatigued. This occurs obviously more so when I eat more carbs, but happens EVERYTIME I eat. I felt the same way when I did the initial glucose test too.

Information: ED Issues Associated with Diabetes?

I am trying to understand what effects Diabetes has on a male, and what exactly occurs that causes erectile dysfunction as a result of having diabetes.

If ED occurs in someone due to undiagnosed Diabetes, can the ED condition be reversed once the diabetes is brought under control with medication/insulin?

In other words, will whatever is causing the ED due to diabetes correct itself once blood sugar levels are brought under control? Or is this type of damage permanent?

I’ve been diagnosed with Diabetes 2 for about six years now, taking a pill twice a day, and of course I have all the signs and symptoms, to include swollen, painful, feet. My diet is really good and easy to follow. The swelling is only occassional, at the same time there appears to be red dots on the top of both feet all the time. WHAT is that? Respectfully

My husband is currently a parapalegic, he was also diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, his medicaid is still pending and is desparetly in need of seeing a doctor. Can anyone recommend a low cost doctor or clinic that will take a out of pocket pay….someone mentioned something about a clinic, I desparetly need some help with this matter.

Any information on type 2 diabetes due to fluke parasites?

I am not overweight but i have type 2 diabetes and have to take insulin, I am a very “unusual” case because I look so healthy, I have recently started alternative treatments and have found out that my diabetes came from these fluke parasites, is there anyone out there like me or with info on this?
