how would teststerone injections affect diabetes?

25 Jul

curious, my b/f has been on teststerone for a while now, and he recently saw a new dr who told him that the injections could somehow effect his diabetes.

he cant remember exactly what the dr said it might do.

i’m not worried or upset or anything it just made me wonder how and or why it would mess with diabetes.

any information would be useful or web links to articles on the subject.

and hon if ya read this q i hope your okay that i asked it.
so if dibeaties cuases low levels then taking injections to boost your levels would be a good thing?

so why would his dr talk about taking him off the injections?

Concerning feline diabetes, anyone know of alternative meds beside insulin injections.?

22 Jul

My cat’s having a difficult time with the shots-growling & hissing when he sees me. Something oral would be better. I’m a little leary of herbal remedies unless someone has first hand success with it.

Air bubbles in the syringe for insulin injections?

07 Jun

I’ve just started using insulin for diabetes. I have a pen that you screw the needle onto and “dial” the dosage. Everything I’ve read says to make sure you get the air bubbles out, but what would happen if you DO inject it, and there’s a bubble? I could see how it would be problematic if it was going right into a vein, but what would the danger be, injecting it into fatty tissue?

The Weight Loss Cure book advises that one take injections of hCG hormone. Is it safe?

17 May

I recently bought Kevin Trudeau’s The Weight Loss Cure They Don’t Want You to Know About. In it, he cites studies from the 1950’s that say that taking daily injections of the hormone hCG (125-250mg) and eating a 500 calorie a day diet is a safe way to lose weight and stop food cravings.

I am a diabetic, so I know that any hormone can be life changing and can effect the whole body. Is there anyone who has used this regimen or otherwise knows about this hormone and would reccommend it?

I’m a pretty skinny guy, definitely not fat but where I’ve been injecting insulin in my stomach for the most part of the last 5 years I have a deposit of fat. Not a huge amount but noticeable. How can I get rid of it? I’ve started to inject in my legs but what else I can do I have no idea. Also how long will it take? Thanks

my doctor refused outright to prescribe testosterone injections?

21 Apr

I am a 50 year old diabetic with now stable sugar and a waking erection so the nerve and blood supply is still present even though the waking erection is quickly lost through exit vein damage no doubt; when I go to Urology they give me a lot of cock about my ‘partner’ – do they want to sleep with her, or something?

Product Description

Although parents are of course primarily responsible for the care of their child s diabetes, it is important that the children themselves are aware that they too must take some responsibility. This book encourages children to follow the instructions given to them by their doctors and parents, to eat healthily, and to see their insulin injections as something brave that they do, that other children cannot! Instead of viewing diabetes and their daily injections as something negative, the story encourages them to think of it as something that sets them apart from… More >>

Has Anyone Out There Gone From An Insulin Pump Back To Injections?

08 Feb

I would appreciate it if you would share your experience with me. I have had type 1 diabetes for 21 years. I started out with injections but went on a pump 9 years ago. Financially I can no longer afford pump supplies. I’m fine with going back to injections, just curious to hear from others with related experiences. Thanks.

Why Does A Diabetic Who Has Insulin Injections Have To Still Be Careful Of There Diet?

25 Sep

If you are injecting some insulin, doesn’t that mean that you can just eat anything as long as you take enough insulin to make the food go away? Because I know when people take pills the food still puts sugar in them, but if you put the insulin in your body, why do you have to eat only a certain diet? I’m very confused about this?
