I have to inject my Novalog and then sometimes my Lantus around the same hour. Usually at the same time twice a day. I inject both insulin’s in different parts of my body but still use that same needle. I do use alcohol to wipe the needle before I put in the other vial. Is this not safe. Can I get a disease or infection doing it this way?

After 28 years of employment with one company I am unemployed with no medical or dental insurance for me and my daughter whose a type 1 diabetic. In the next couple of weeks I will need to provide additional supplies of insulin and materials for her meditronic insulin pump. These supplies are very costly without health insurance. Paying out of pocket will drastically impact our living capability at this time.
