I have Type I diabetes. I work full time as an assitant manager in a retail store in the mall. Recently my boss asked for a medical certificate stating that I am diabetic. They want to keep it in my personnel file. Is this legal? I had never even heard of this certificate until they asked me for one. I feel like it does not need to be in my personnel folder because my health does not affect my work performance.

We don’t have the funds for him to go to the doctor every six months for his diabetic testing and we don’t have the funds to buy his insulin! It’s very expensive! I’m scared and don’t know where to get help! It appears that we don’t qualify for anything. I’m on unemployment due to being laid off, my husbands had a huge pay cut, we have two in college. Where can we get help with my husbands diabetes medical care? does anyone know?

I was recently diagnosed with diabetes and would like to know if I were to change medical insurance if it would be considered a pre-existing condition for which I would be denied coverage for medical treatment related to diabetes. I appreciate any advise/feedback.

I eat only egg and yoghurt, and am underweight. To me it is ethically unacceptable to take a life for my survival, and so am unable to eat meat. Should I force myself to eat meat, waste away to death, or is there any other way out? Would be grateful for any advice.
