What currently is the most accurate glucose meter for diabetes?
I need to get the Most accurate glucose meter, I check my levels about 25 times a day and I use the insulin pump, my A1c is about 5.3, so I need to find a glucose meter that is very accurate so that I can get my a1c level down to about 5.
Thanks so much!!!
Is there such a thing as a blood glucose AND insulin meter?
I am not diabetic, but I thought it would be interesting to track both my blood glucose and my blood insulin. Obviously a blood glucose meter is easy to buy, but can one buy a personal meter that measures both glucose and insulin? I can’t find one online.
If such a thing exists, brand names and websites would be very helpful. Thanks.

Is there a glucose meter that does not require you to prick your finger?
And what are the 800 numbers you see on the TV about a free meter and testing supplies? They advertise a meter that you do not have to prick your finger. Does it require blood still? How does it work? My son is 13 and has CF related diabetes. He tests a couple of times a day and takes one shot of Lantus, long lasting insulin. This “honeymoon” period probably wont last much longer and he will need to test many more times and start taking another injection with meals. Im wanting to lessen the trauma of having to do this any way I can. Do not want to do the pump right now and really the pump may be a some time in the distant future.
They need to invent a meter that does not use strips, those are soooooo expensive.
