The other day, I went to the doctor’s office and they took blood to run some tests. I guess they called and I have to see another doctor on Friday because I could have diabetes. This is off of the blood they took and tested the day before. But, before giving blood, I had a bottle of Mt. Dew. Could that have messed up the test so I’d have a higher blood sugar reading?
I figured as much. My family is freaking out about it so I wanted to make sure. And I didn’t really plan on them taking blood or I wouln’t have gone and gotten the drink right before I went in.

ive heard that people have found the cure to diabetes but since so many people have diabetes they dont want to give the cure away because people with diabetes spend sooo much money on medicine for their diabetes, and its a money maker?? Is this true? give me ur opinion?
Can you show an article explaining how many early stage Diabetics do not feel they are in poor health?

There are 3 levels of diabetes teatment, diet and exercise, medication and Insulin shots. Most people in the first 2 stages feel they are pre-diabetics and do not consider themselves to be in poor health. I need an article that explains this common mis-conception. An insurance company refuses to pay compensation as I did not declare that I was in poor health while taking a very light dosis of medication.
What else besides diabetes would cause glucose to show up in urinalysis?

My doc used urinalysis to diagnose a urinary tract infection and she mentioned that glucose was also present. I will go back for blood tests. I do have a family history of diabetes. So I borrowed my father’s glucose meter and tested my blood –glucose level was only 99, which is not in the diabetic range.
