How can you tell if your getting diabetes by your feet?
I either read or seen a commercial that said something about how you can tell if your getting diabetes by your feet, and how diabetics have problems with theirs. How can you tell?
Can anyone tell me about diabetes? I have my mom’s “results” and I don’t know what they mean.?
Hi, I just found out my mom has Adult Onset Diabetes II. Here are her “results.”
Cholesterol score: 299 (should be under 200)

How do I tell my husband how we are really in debt? I let it get beyond our means.?
I am the mother of a now 8 year old beautiful little girl. When my daughter was 16 months old she became very sick. Doctors thought it was the flu, however a few days later we ended up @ the hospital because she was unresponsive. She was in a diabetic coma. Well needless to say this kept me a stay at home mom taking great care of my daughter. My husband is the love of my life. He is a fire fighter full time and on his days off he works for a lanndscaping company. For the last 16 years he also pays 200.oo dollars a week for child support. His daughter turns 18 next yeear and has aready pursued her career as a cosmotolgist with a trade school. hwave done day care out of my house to help pay for my daughter’s education and to help out with the bills, in the last 6 yrs. we have accumulated 25,000.00 in credit card debt. I never have used it for extravagances, just to use in home emergancies..and the oil and cost of living expenses.. My husbannd does not know how bad it is, because I am afraid of being blamed for everything.. I am the only one out of my family who managesmy daughter’s diabete’s, so I am at a loss for ….I don’t know… I don’t want to declare bankruptacy, that is not an option… we have never been late on our mortgage payment. we love our home. I am making myself so sick over this that it has effected my health, I vomit all the time due to stress.. I don’t want my daughter to wittness this..What can I do? I was involved w/ a debt settlement program, which made it worse…..
Why doesn’t the media tell us more about genetically modified food?
I have seen little in the media other than what supports the profit agenda of the biotech corporations. Is that changing?
See for interest this recent article from Huffington post. Is its presence a sign that perhaps the mainstream media is starting to “notice” the science that contradicts the science of the biotech corporations?
Will we see more coverage of these issues in the media?

Quote for those who don’t follow links:
“Will Obama’s Food Safety Team Finally Regulate the Biggest Food Safety Hazard of Our Time?
If President Obama’s new Food Safety Working Group dedicates all their time and credentials to prevent future food recalls, they will have saved thousands of people–but forsaken millions.
Over the last decade, our radically changing diet has ushered in the explosive growth of food-related ailments, such as allergies, asthma, obesity, diabetes, autism, infertility, gastro-intestinal disorders, and learning disabilities. Of all the changes in our food, the most dangerous transformation was the introduction of genetically modified (GM) crops.
When these gene-spliced concoctions, such as GM soy, corn, canola, and cottonseed, came on the scene in 1996, the proportion of Americans suffering from three or more chronic ailments. After just 9 years, that nearly doubled to 13%. GM foods are the prime suspect.
Government policy at odds with science
Until now, the government has sidestepped the controversy by hiding behind FDA policy, which asserts that genetically modified organisms (GMOs) are “substantially equivalent” to natural foods and therefore don’t require any safety studies. But as Obama acknowledged, “many of the laws and regulations governing food safety in America” are outdated.
In truth, the FDA’s GMO policy was not even up-to-date when it was implemented in May 1992. FDA documents made public from a lawsuit revealed that virtually all the agency scientists asked to comment voiced strong warnings that GMOs may cause serious health problems. But the FDA was under orders from the White House to fast track GM foods, and the person in charge of FDA policy was the former attorney of biotech giant Monsanto–and later become their vice president. The scientists and the science were ignored.
Now that animals fed GMOs–in labs and farms around the world–have exhibited symptoms related to the growing list of diseases in the US population, the President’s Food Safety team, including Dr. Margaret Hamburg as FDA Commissioner, must update GMO regulation. A scientifically sound regulation would translate into an immediate ban of current GM crops, and the implementation of rigorous safety testing requirements before any GMO was put back into the food supply. And certainly mandatory labeling, as promised by President Obama during his campaign, must accompany any GM food approval.
Presidents and industry insiders avoid GMOs
The Obama family has wisely opted out of exposing themselves to GM foods by requiring organic–and therefore non-GMO–foods served at the White House. They are even planting an organic garden on the south lawn of the White House, to feature 55 types of vegetables.
The Bush family also had an organic kitchen policy. Laura Bush was “adamant” about it, but kept it all quiet.
Even at Monsanto, many in-the-know employees won’t consume the company’s own GM creations. Back in 1999, the management of the cafeteria at Monsanto’s UK headquarters in High Wycombe, England wrote:
“In response to concern raised by our customers . . . we have decided to remove, as far as possible, genetically modified soy and maize (corn) from all food products served in our restaurant. . . . We have taken the above steps to ensure that you, the customer, can feel confident in the food we serve.”
And one former Monsanto scientist told me that his colleagues, who were safety testing milk from cows injected with the company’s genetically engineered bovine growth hormone, decided to stop drinking milk–unless it was organic.
It’s now time to let us all opt out of this dangerous and failed GM experiment. If Obama’s team is serious about food safety and public health, they must take GMOs off our plates and put them back into the laboratory.

Can you please read my addendum letter that explains the number of Ws on my transcript and tell what you think?
Thank you for taking the time to consider my application to your prestigious and traditioned program. This letter is in regards to the course grades of W that can be seen on the transcript included with my application. I wanted to take this time to dispel any notion that I lack diligence or academic stamina due to the number of withdrawals that occur on my transcript. I have never withdrawn from a course on the basis of poor academic performance and I hold academic excellence in the highest esteem. This fact is evident in my participation in the Business Honors Program, by obtaining high marks throughout my undergraduate career, and as consequentially being placed on the Chancellor’s list for multiple semesters. I withdrew from several classes starting from the beginning of 2007 and lasting to the end of 2008 to care for my ailing grandfather. My grandfather has been the biggest supporter in my life. His presence has filled my life in way that most fathers are supposed to fill. During early spring 2007, my grandfather was diagnosed with chronic bronchitis and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Coupled with pre-existing diabetes and a weakened heart from prior heart attacks, my grandfather required hospitalization off and on and required close and intensive care when at home. Home health nurses could not be obtained for long periods due to restrictions in my grandparent’s insurance policy, so the burden was placed on my family. I come from a very small family and the options were limited. I took the thirty minute drive everyday to care for my grandfather all while maintaining my internship at Carroll Financial Associates. My days consisted of taking blood sugars, giving insulin shots, taking blood pressures, and giving him the almost twenty medications that had to be given over the course of a day. I look back at the past year with pride that I was there to take care of a member of my family. It was a time of personal growth. Recently, I have not had to help out as much because of developments at my mother’s place of work. This has allowed for me to continue my studies full-time and work toward my goal of becoming a CPA.
Can you tell me what these are?
DO NOT let the previous answers influence yours. That will lessen the validity of my results!
