Waooo your answers say so much about your religion. This question is for Muslims so if you have nothing constructive to say Buzz off!
What is diabetes and why do you need to avoid so many things and food?
I have heard that people with diabetes should not take cold, flu or pain medications. Why is this? Also, I have heard that they should avoid exposure to high heat and humidity? Why is this? I also would love to know what it is exactly, and why you need to watch what you eat and use a meter?
After getting pre-diabetes blood sugar to normal is it safe to eat sugary and oily things again?
After checking with fasting blood sugar and post-prandial tests, my post-prandial blood sugar was showing 143, so I went on a strict diet and exercise routine and within 2 weeks, my fasting blood sugar showed 89 and post-prandial blood sugar showed 116. So, is it safe now for me to start eating sugary and oily foods once again, or will blood sugar go up once again, and do I have to still continue with my strict dieting and exercise routine?
Diabeties my father can hardly grasp things or walk anybody have any similar experiances ?
My dad has diabities which is affecting his hands and feet leaving them numb and sore is there any cures???? Thanx
is anyone else fed up with the way things are going here?
i have always been pro american, in everything. however, as a young adult, i have been forced to face the fact that living in america.. is hard. i am currently pregnant, and i am astounded by the high cost. a $20,000 bill from the hospital just to have the baby? im also diabetic, and my tiny vial of insulin is $150! $40,000 just to get a college education? my fiance and i are hard working people, we dont expect a lot, but come on, how can the average family make it? i suppose they can’t… after watching michael moore’s “sicko”, we started to do some research, and i was sickened by what we found. france has free healthcare, free education, a 35 hr week, gov’t enforced 5 week vacation… i mean, it goes on and on! why is america the only civilized country that doesnt have socialized healthcare?
this is a general question, not a opening to hurl judgement or accusations at someone you have never met. if you can’t express your opinion in an adult, calm manner, then please don’t bother answering.
even tho i feel this is not really anybody’s business, a good pt was made that i did ask the question, so here it is. I do work, have always worked, and sometimes, life just happens, even when you are taking the responsible steps. i am living proof, it is still possible to get pregnant while on birth control. i do not want a handout, it just angers me that the normal working person who does everything “right”, still cant seem to make ends meet, esp when an unexpected reality of life pops up. i appreciate all the answers, even the ones i dont agree with, and i hope that this opens up more and more talking about how to make our country a better one.
Have you noticed that in the music video 7 things by Miley Cyrus she is wearing nicks diabetes dog tag
oh and it is his . i have proof cuz it says his name and has the litle medical sign and i dont think she has diabetes
oh and the song goodnight and goodbye is written for miley or to miley cause it says all your crazy fans
Did you know these things about diabetes?
- Diabetes is not caused by eating too much sugar. It is genetic.
- Craving sugar and/or junk food is not a sign of diabetes development.
- Type one diabetes is not a ‘worse’ form of the disease, it is a variant.
- Type one diabetes and type two diabetes are generally very different.
- We can usually eat things that contain sugar.
- Diabetes is actually a very serious disease and is hard to manage.
- It is not easier to be on insulin. It is not ‘worse’ to be on insulin.
- There is no cure for diabetes, only treatment.
- Diabetes does not ‘go away’.
- Having to pee a lot is not always a symptom of diabetes.
I am having pre-diabetes condition yet i took in 1 ice cream and other things, could i have got diabetes?
I was diagnosed with pre-diabetes but I brought down my blood sugar to normal , yet recently i took in 1 ice cream cone, several seedless grapes, 2 oranges and 2 bananas. Could these eatables have given me diabetes, as I have not yet gone for the tests?
What kinds of things might trigger type 1 diabetes?
I think I might have diabetes. I’m going to go to the doctor real soon. Until then I have a question i’d like answered. Can anyone tell me, that has type 1 diabetes, what lead you to believe you have it, like i researched a little bit and most of the things said alot of time people get had an illness of some sort that triggered it or something. Any help is greatly appreciated. Sorry about the bad grammar and punctuation.
What are some examples of things to eat on the ADA,AHA diet?
My aunt has been diagnosed with diabetes and was told by the doctor to start and ADA,AHA diet. She didn’t obtain further information from the doctor (which looks like I will have to prod her to do) and she wants to know what types of things she is able to eat. I’ve researched and not found an actual “diet” by this name. Any answers will be greatly appreciated!
Are things like stroke, heart attack, and adult onset diabetes more hereditary or more environment influenced?
Environment meaning lifestyle, exposure to stress, chemicals/pollution, location, etc.
Or is this stuff more influenced by genetics and just ready to come out in the right conditions?
And I’m asking this with the knowledge that even if it does tend to run in families there are things you can try to do to keep from getting it. But can you really prevent these things with effort? Or is it going to happen any way if it’s in your genes?
How can I get the post office to see my side of things when a carrier is not doing their job?
We have had problems with mail delivery since we moved in here. We put up with it at first because it was just a minor inconvenience. Then, I had to begin receiving my diabetes supplies(syringes, test strips, and insulin pump infusion sets) as well as prescriptions through the mail(because of our money situation). My very life depends on receiving most of these supplies. Our mail has been delivered in damaged condition, to the wrong people and at times not at all. We filed a complaint with the post office and they seemed understanding. The postmaster spoke with the mail carrier. The mail carrier then came in my driveway beeping her horn. She said she got into trouble for something that her sub. had done. I apologized and explained my situation. The next month when my supplies came, she again left them laying in the snow with no cover or anything.I again called to complain but nothing was done. So, I saw her drive by and yelled. She came in my drive.I yelled at her.She got angry with me.She
