My husband is 28 and is type 1 diabetic. He was diagnosed when he was around 18. His pancreas does not produce insulin. I wondered if a transplant were possible. I want him to live a long time. I love him soooo much.

Have anyone with diabetes considered transplant?
of islet cells? If so, where did you find information regarding the procedure? I’ve looked on the ADA website and was not able to find info. Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
Does an organ transplant (kidneys) help cure a diabetic stage 4 patient?
a) Is a kidney transplant possible, if possible what are the criteria for a successful transplant?
b) regarding question (a) if the patient is a diabetic stage 4 (requires a jebt of insulin every 6 hours) will there be any improvement following the transplant?
How Much Would It Cost To Have A Pancreas Transplant ?
My 22 years old and I have type 1 diabetes. I just want to know if having a pancreas transplant would be more cost benefit than spending a lifetime supply of insulin pens ( humalog & lantus), pen needles, test strips, Lancets, and pills for my high blood pussure and cholesterol
I spend like about $80 a month for all these stuff expect for the test strips & lancets i get those for free thank to my insureance
